Description
Drape Excrement has been active in the experimental music scene for several years, as the mastermind behind the project is also part of the seminal German power electronic outfit Söldnergeist. After the Sic Transit Gloria Mundi cassette, the Born Dead LP, a split 7-inch with Söldnergeist, a split CD with Catharsis, and several compilation tracks, “Borrowed Time” is their first full-length CD with nearly all new material. With a more ambient death-industrial sound, dark walls of sound are combined with deep crunchy sounds. Urban voices create a menacing atmosphere while rattling and crackling sounds rise and vanish. Slow rhythms filled with black walls of corroded atmospheres and ghostly wails and moans. The last three tracks are older unreleased recordings in a more of a power electronics style. A classic union of darkness, anger, and power that’s a must for death industrial admirers. Punishment never sounded so good! Drape Excrement captures sounds of agony and inner torment, of madness and glorious insanity. A release that explores the blackest depths of man’s soul. Limited to 500 copies.
